Safe Play Policy

Responsible Gambling at 500pak

Gambling is entertainment — not a solution, not an income source, not a way out of financial pressure. 500pak is committed to giving every player the tools, knowledge and support to keep it that way.

🔞 18+ Only — Strictly Enforced

Our Commitment to Safe Play

At 500pak, responsible gambling is not a compliance box — it is a core part of how the platform is designed. Whether you are watching a PSL knockout in Lahore, following an ICC tournament from Karachi, or catching live UFC results in Islamabad, the same principle applies every time: you should only ever be playing with money you can afford to lose, within time you have set aside for entertainment.

Most people who use 500pak enjoy betting as a casual pastime. But we know that for some players, gambling can stop being fun and start becoming a problem. When that happens, we want the tools to stop or slow down to be easy to find and easy to use — not buried in account settings or hidden behind support tickets.

This page covers everything you need to know about staying in control: the tools available to you, the warning signs to watch for, what to do if you need help, and the legal context that applies to gambling in Pakistan.

Legal notice: Gambling is subject to restrictions in Pakistan under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, and other applicable legislation. Being 18 or older does not, by itself, make gambling lawful in your location. This page does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for understanding the laws applicable to you.

Responsible Gambling Tools — In Detail

Every one of these tools is available to all registered 500pak users. They cost nothing to use and can be activated at any time from your account settings or by contacting support.

Deposit Limits

A deposit limit caps the total amount you can add to your 500pak balance in a given period — daily, weekly or monthly. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets.

Reducing a limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit is subject to a mandatory cooling-off period — this protects you from impulsive decisions during a losing run.

Loss Limits

A loss limit defines the maximum net loss you are willing to accept in a set period. When your losses in that period reach the defined threshold, the platform suspends betting activity automatically until the period resets.

This is particularly useful during high-intensity cricket seasons like the PSL playoffs or ICC knockouts, when it is easy to place more bets than planned in a short window.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration — from 30 minutes to several hours. You will receive a reality-check notification when the limit approaches, and a hard stop when it is reached.

Sessions can also include reality-check reminders — periodic on-screen prompts that show how long you have been playing and your net position in the current session.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion blocks access to your Account for a defined period. During exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit, place bets or access casino games. The Operator is obligated to honour your exclusion immediately and in full.

Exclusion periods range from 24 hours to permanent closure. Exclusion periods cannot be shortened once applied. Extensions are available on request at any time.

Take a Break

A "take a break" option lets you temporarily suspend your Account for a short period — typically 24 hours to 6 weeks — without the formality of full self-exclusion. Your Account data and balance are preserved; you simply cannot access the Platform during the break period.

Useful if you feel you are spending too much time on the Platform around a specific event — an ICC series, a weekend of football fixtures or a UFC fight card.

Account Closure

You can request permanent Account closure at any time by contacting the support team. Any remaining real-money balance (subject to KYC completion and applicable withdrawal terms) will be returned to you via an approved withdrawal method. Bonus funds not meeting Wagering Requirements at closure will be forfeited.

Full closure details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Self-Exclusion Periods

Choosing the right exclusion period is a personal decision. The options below cover the full range — from a short pause to a permanent exit. All periods are binding on the Operator the moment you apply them.

24 Hours
A short, immediate pause. Useful if you feel overwhelmed in the moment and need to step away from active markets without a long-term commitment.
1 Week
A week-long break — long enough to break a short-term habit pattern and assess whether gambling is still feeling like entertainment.
1 Month
A meaningful break that removes the Platform from your daily routine for a full month. Recommended if you have exceeded your budget more than once in a short period.
3 Months
A longer-term exclusion period that creates genuine distance from the Platform. During this time, consider speaking to a support resource.
6 Months
A six-month exclusion provides substantial time to assess your relationship with gambling and seek structured support if needed.
Permanent
Permanent self-exclusion closes your Account indefinitely. This decision is irreversible. If you believe you have a serious problem with gambling, this is the right option.
Important: Self-exclusion periods cannot be reduced once applied. If you have self-excluded, do not attempt to register a new Account during the exclusion period — this is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and any winnings generated during a breach period may be forfeited.

Setting Your Budget

Before you place any bet, set a clear entertainment budget. The example below illustrates a sensible monthly budget structure for a Pakistani player. These are illustrative PKR figures — your actual budget should reflect your personal financial situation.

Monthly entertainment budget PKR 5,000
Weekly deposit limit set PKR 1,250
Daily session time limit 90 minutes
Monthly loss limit set PKR 5,000
Reality check reminder Every 30 min
Maximum single bet PKR 500
The golden rule: Once your budget is gone, it is gone. Do not deposit more to try to recover losses. The mathematics of gambling do not change because you are on a losing streak. Walking away when you have hit your limit is not losing — it is responsible play.
How to Set Limits in Your Account

Log In to Your Account

Navigate to your Account settings from the main menu or account dashboard.

02
Open Responsible Gambling Settings

Find the Responsible Gambling or Safe Play section — it is prominently placed, not hidden in an obscure sub-menu.

03
Select the Tool You Need

Choose from deposit limits, loss limits, session timers, take-a-break or self-exclusion. Each has a clear explanation before you confirm.

04
Confirm — It Takes Effect Immediately

Limit reductions and exclusions apply instantly. Limit increases require a mandatory cooling-off period before they become active.

Warning Signs to Watch For

Problem gambling rarely announces itself. It tends to develop gradually, often during a period of stress or financial difficulty. The signs below do not mean you have a problem — but if several of them apply to you consistently, it may be time to use the available tools or seek support.

Chasing losses — placing more bets or depositing more money specifically to recover money you have already lost, rather than for entertainment.
Gambling with money you cannot afford — using funds set aside for rent, food, bills, school fees or other essential expenses in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi or wherever you are based.
Borrowing money to gamble — taking loans, asking family or friends for money, or using credit to fund betting activity.
Inability to stop — continuing to gamble even when you have decided to stop, or feeling unable to control how much you spend.
Lying about gambling — hiding how much time or money you spend on gambling from family members or people close to you.
Gambling affecting relationships or work — missing responsibilities, arriving late, neglecting family or friends because of gambling activity.
Using gambling to cope — betting to escape stress, anxiety, low mood or difficult personal circumstances rather than for entertainment.
Feeling anxious or irritable when not gambling — experiencing restlessness, irritability or anxiety when you are not able to access gambling.

Support & Guidance Resources

If gambling has stopped being entertainment and has become a concern — for you or someone close to you — support is available. The resources below are mentioned for informational purposes only.

500pak Support Team

Our support team can help you activate responsible gambling tools, apply self-exclusion or arrange Account closure. Contact us in English at [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link). Urdu assistance is available on request. Live chat is also available within the Platform for faster response on urgent matters.

Talk to Someone You Trust

Often the most effective first step is speaking honestly with a family member or close friend in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or wherever you are. Acknowledging the problem to someone you trust is a significant step. Many people find that simply naming the issue removes much of its power.

Professional Mental Health Support

Gambling disorder is a recognised condition that responds well to professional support. Mental health professionals in Pakistan — including psychologists and addiction counsellors — can provide structured help. Adults Only — Protecting Minors

500pak is strictly for users aged 18 or older — or the higher minimum age required by the operator or the applicable licence jurisdiction, whichever is greater. There are no exceptions to this rule. Age alone does not make gambling lawful in Pakistan; this restriction is a platform requirement independent of any legal status determination.

We use age verification measures during Account registration and KYC processes. If we have reasonable grounds to believe a User is below the minimum eligible age, the Account will be suspended immediately, all bets placed will be voided, and any deposited funds will be returned. Winnings generated during any underage use are forfeited without exception.

If you are a parent or guardian and are concerned that a minor in your household may be accessing gambling sites — including 500pak — we recommend the following steps:

  • Use parental control software on shared devices to restrict access to gambling-related websites.
  • Keep financial accounts, mobile wallets (including Easypaisa and JazzCash) and bank credentials secure and inaccessible to minors.
  • Have an open conversation with young people in your household about the risks and legal status of gambling in Pakistan.
  • If you believe a minor has registered on 500pak, contact [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link) immediately so we can investigate and take the appropriate action.
Legal note: Providing false age information during Account registration constitutes a breach of our Terms & Conditions and may constitute fraud under applicable law. 500pak will co-operate with any relevant authorities in such matters.

Legal Context in Pakistan

Understanding the legal environment is an important part of gambling responsibly. Here is what you need to know.

The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977

Pakistan's primary gambling legislation is the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, which restricts gambling activities. Provincial regulations may add further restrictions or create specific carve-outs. The legal landscape is complex and continues to evolve — online gambling occupies a particularly ambiguous space.

500pak does not claim that using this Platform is lawful in Pakistan. Users are entirely responsible for determining whether their use of the Platform complies with all laws applicable to their specific location and circumstances.
